Moving online this Lockdown

Earth & Ether are over the moon to announce our online yoga offering. As the landscape of the world around us shifts and heals, so too do we.

Our online yoga course will include weekly Yang, or Vinyasa flow movement practices, that follow a seasonally sequenced style to create improved awareness, flexibility, strength and space within the body. There is a strong commitment to breath-led movement at a pace that allows for mindful embodiment of the poses and transitional shapes. A Vinyasa yoga practice takes into consideration that we are all unique and will express each posture and transition in a way that is authentic to our individual anatomy and physiology.

Our Yang movement is complemented by Yin Yoga as the closing sequence of each class, ever more so during the Autumn and Winter months. Yin is a method of yoga that incorporates longer-held passive postures to nourish the body by stimulating chi/energy flow to joints and connective tissue. This practice is transformative in creating balance in our emotional, psychological and physical realms in an encouraging and nurturing approach.

For Earth & Ether members who sign up to the 6 week course – there will be the added benefit of much needed meditations and yoga nidra self-care practices, nourishing our nervous systems to wind down for Winter.

Further details on signing up for our introductory course of online yoga classes will launch this evening and our first live practice will take place on 10th November 2020 // 7PM.

Regular participation in these online movement classes will enable us to keep our yoga practice fluid and community connections alive throughout the latest lockdown until Christmas.

As it can sometimes be tricky to arrive on our mats at a set time each week, these live yoga recordings will also be avialble to view at a time to suit you. We will grow a collection of curated classes for you to come back to time and time again.

The online yoga course investment will be £30 for an initial 6 weeks and the class teachings will progress our practice from those of Autumnal transitions to that of Winter wisdom.

Further information will be announced on our facebook page, Thursday 5th November – let’s find the light in this lockdown together.
